How it Works

From Raw Ingredients to a Masterpiece

1. Stock the Kitchen (Drag & Drop)

Start by dragging your raw source .wav files directly into FXGen. These are your base ingredients. Whether it’s a single sound or a whole crate of audio, the "pantry" is now ready.

2. Prep the Ingredients (Analyze & Process)

Once added, FXGen begins the "prep" work. The app carefully analyzes and processes your files, breaking them down into their core spectral layers. Like a chef chopping and seasoning, the engine gets every frequency ready for the final mix.

3. Choose Your Recipe (Load Profile)

Every great dish needs a plan. Go to the User Settings Menu > Load Profile to select a preset or a custom "Recipe." This tells FXGen exactly how to layer, randomize, and "cook" your ingredients to achieve the perfect sonic flavor.

4. Fire the Order (Generate FX)

Click Generate FX to start the simmer. FXGen will combine your prepped layers into brand-new variations. Alternatively, enable the Export to Pro Tools checkbox to pull your high-quality stems directly into Pro Tools for the final plating.
